| 3) a lot of people are of the opinion that an image of at least 300dpi is needed to make good prints, this depends on so many variables, we discourage the use of such yardsticks, there is no rule. Case in point, an image which is 8 x10 to begin with which is to be reproduced 8 x 10, only need be 150 dpi, in most cases. A 35mm slide scanned at 300 dpi is only good for making 3 x 5 prints, and would suffer as an 8x10. | |
